Getting to Koh Mak, Trat, Thailand
Koh Mak The third largest island of the province of Trat is located between the more known islands Koh Chang and Koh Kood (Ko Kut).
By Plane : Bangkok Airways fly into Trat airport from Bangkok, the most convenient way and its take only 50 minutes. The airport is located on the mainland near Laem Ngob. The flight operates daily, two time a day in low season and three time a day in high season

By Bus ( air condition) Taking the bus from Ekamai bus terminal in Bangkok (Sukhumvit 42) might not be as convenient but it mean you’ll have some space for your legs, price are 250 baht all the way to the ferry pier and the time start from 6.45, 7.45 am. It take about 5 hours for the big.

A new minibus service from Victory Monument in Bangkok to Koh Chang Ferry pier departing from both locations every 1 hour from 0700 – 1900. Price 300 baht / person. Sounds like a good deal for going to Koh Chang more easy but they don’t have much space for luggage.

- Go to Koh Chang start from Ao Supparot 06.00 until 19.00 ( every 45 minute )
- Return to the mainland start from Ao Thummachart 06.30 until 19.00 ( every 45 minute )
How to go to Laem Ngob pier:
From Trat town, visitors can continue by share taxi transports to Leam Ngob pier where services are operated all day. Distance from town to Leam Ngob pier is 17 kilometres.
Laem Ngob pier - Koh Mak:
Passengers of Koh Kood Seatran usually leave from Leam Ngob pier to to Koh Kood on Friday and Saturday one time only at 9.00 am. (Ferry operation are subject to change without notice due to climate condition). The cost is about 500-600 Baht.
Dan Khao Pier - Koh Mak
There is slow boat operated by War Choke Wuttichai, departing for Koh Kood at 10.00 am on Tuesday and Friday, taking 4-5 hours. The cost is 200-300 Baht.There is also a speed boat operate by Ao Phrao Speed Boats that departs for Koh Kood at 9.00 am daily, taking 1-2 hours. The cost is 500-600 Bath/person.
From Koh Chang to Koh Mak
1. Company Bang Bao Boat star from Ao Bang Bao 08.00 am with wooden Boat and 09.00 am with Speed Boat goes to Koh Wai, Koh Kham, Koh Mak, Koh Rayang and Koh Kood. The cost start from 300 - 900 Baht. The boat returns from Koh Kood, start from 09.45 am.
2. Company Kai Bae Hut Speed boat start from Kai Bae Beach at 10.00 am with speed boat only goes to Koh Wai, Koh Kham, Koh Mak, Koh Rayang, and Koh Kood. The cost start from 300 - 900 Baht. The boat returns from Koh Kood, start from 10.00 am.
